your going about it all wrong, by saying what your saying to her and her mother your making yourself look bad.

get her mother on your side, talk calmly, i know it's hard, but it's petty point playing that really makes it worse, like saying she goes out and she does this and doesnt contribute, make a list of everything you buy for the household, all the bills, and say eiher she pays something towards the things she uses and the bills and rent, or she can find her own place, simple as that.

if they refuse, just dotn buy anything for a while, okay you might not want to go without some things but it might get it through to his sister what she's using, and what your buying for her. starting getting the money off her is the hardest part, because she's used to living with her parents for free, now your the parents and she's living off of you, she's never had to pay her way for anything.

dont let it get between you and your b/f, he's not choosing her over you, you and her are in 2 completely diffrent levels, you up there on the girlfriend level, and she's up there on the sister level, he cant choose between you both without hurting one of you intentionally, and since your like a wife/gf it's goign to be you who get it's all the time. it's just part of being with someone, accept them, and there family.

I would hold out for something that has shorter hours, especially if you are in a position to search for something else. The first year of marriage is very pivotal and a lot of lifetime routines (for better or for worse) are established during that period.

I work in a high pressure environment that requires a lot of 50 hour weeks. It is a source of contention between my husband and I, as he often feels that my job is my number one priority. Over the past year or so I have tried to cut back on my hours and travel so that we can spend time together. I agree with you, I would rather be poor, or have a less prestigious job than lose my relationship. Good luck, this is just one of many tough choices that women in the workplace face.

I think you made the wrong decision. Why should your life be so miserable. Your only have this one live to live, it is not a dress rehearsal, this is it. If you do what other people want you to do, you are living their life not yours.

You need a life of your own where you can make a difference and are appreciated. Why didn't you go to college? Apparently you are smart enough to go then you would have been qualified for any job you wanted.

Don't let your parents or other family members hold you back. They have lived their youth and are living the life they wanted. It's time for you now to live your youth for it will be gone before you know it an you would have lived other peoples lives, not your own. What a sham, what a waste of a good mind.

    Blessings!

Something new I’ve discovered which really impresses employers is to have your own website. I’m not talking about a Facebook page, that’s not going to impress anyone, I mean a real dotcom website. I got mine made for free at ultimateyournamedotcom – I’ve already had a few job offers since my site went live, I’m just trying to decide if I should go with one of them or wait to see if better offers come in soon.

I've looked through some of your other recent questions on this fellow. Of course, you're clearly annoyed, and so I'm getting a skewed version of things, but …

    He's a slacker. He's also self-centered.

    Evidence:
    (1) He's not willing to work hard on getting a job.
    (2) His original job sounds kind of slacker.
    (3) He was fired for unsatisfactory performance before.
    (4) He spends the little money he does bring in on his own entertainment.

Frankly, I think you have three choices:

    (A) Accept that you're going to be supporting him for the rest of your life.
    (B) Tell him that he needs to shape up or ship out, and when he doesn't shape up, dump him.
    (C) If neither of those appeal to you, get him to a psychologist. They're usually quacks, but miracles happen.

I tried over 15 opportunities in the course of 2 years so I have some great information for you plus a list of top 10 work at home scams!

I am a mother of two little girls who are actually tugging on my arm as I write this so I will try to be brief. Many people are looking for work from home companies. All the scams definitely create a big problem but also, there is a problem of people misunderstanding the difference between work from home "jobs" and work from home opportunities. There really are not work from home “jobs”. To get that you have to start working for a company in their offices first, then they MAY allow you to take the job home.

Most of the work from home opportunities that are legitimate offers are not an hourly pay type job. They are business opportunities that help you in starting your own business from your home. What you should do first is to decide if you are simply looking for an hourly rate type job or if you are looking for more of an opportunity for additional income such as what you would make in your own business being your own boss from home. Small home businesses have some small costs involved, less than $500 to start is reasonable and I would stay away from those wanting $1000-$5000. It doesn’t cost that much to start and run a home business so you shouldn’t pay it.

If you are coming across places that say free then I would RUN don’t walk the other way! They never are. I tried them many a times and 3 weeks later I had to buy this and 6 weeks later that. After 6 months these “free businesses” had cost me over $800 on average.

After trying 15 things I now work about 18-25 hours per week for a National Medical Healthcare Company. This is a nationally known and reputable home business which is what you need to make sure you are looking for. I have been with the company almost a year and a half now and I make over $4500 a month! In your first month, depending on how many hours you can work, I have seen people make anywhere from $500 to over $2500. And your income will increase each month because you get paid residual income as well.

The best part is they have 401(k), direct deposit, life insurance and a benefits package most of which you get from day one. In addition, there are no products, no hard selling or pushing, no cold calling, no home parties and no telemarketing! That was VERY important to me. I absolutely love working with them and I can't believe I am making what I am making and in so few hours per week. The neat thing is there are other people on your team that you work with so you are never alone. You have great team support and you get to know the other people on your team pretty well.

I was a bit apprehensive at first because I know a lot of companies are not legit but this company is the number one National Medical Benefits Company in the US. They are a member of the US Chamber of Commerce, and the National Association of Dental Plans and the owner of the company actually sits on the board of The Consumer Health Alliance to which we are also members. Also they were featured in “The New York Times”, “Wall Street Journal” “Time Magazine” “American Medical Review” and even in the May 2008 issue of “Parents Magazine”. Even “60 Minutes” did a big special on this home based business.

Even more then all this is they are accepted at over 100,000 retailers nationwide. These are fortune 500 companies like Sears, Target, K-mart, Rite Aid, CVS, Wal-mart, Publix and more. These companies would never work with a company that was anything less than reputable.

You can research the company at http://www.workathomeplus.net

    3. Pyramid Schemes (this is NOT the same as Multi-Level Marketing MLM)

    1. Envelope Stuffing

Please beware of these scams. There are some legit home businesses out there so be careful. Look for companies in business over 10 years. Look for companies with a needed product or service, something you would be proud to represent. Look for companies that have a national reputation and are members of the US Chamber of Commerce.

As for those of you who say…..”I want to work from home but I don’t want to have to pay for anything”. Well, that’s great! But it will never happen. Let’s be honest, there is no such thing as a free lunch. If it is a true honest home business you need to expect to pay. Mr. Walt Disney didn’t start the Disney empire “without paying for anything”. Neither did Mr. Sam Walton, owner of Wal-Mart.

Hang on to the temporary job as long as possible. It is income and better than being on the dole. If you loose the job or are not successful, you can "fall back" on the Jobseeker's and Housing benefits. If the temporary job interferes with getting on with your schooling, drop it like a hot potato–the schooling is more important because it allow you to have permanent income in the future. You will probably not be hired for an administration job once employers find out that you will be dedicating time to schooling or moving–they want someone permanent.

Keep the easier job and hope it takes you through September, at which time you can find something else that works with your school schedule to pay off back debt.

  18. k8lynml says:

I've gotten ALL of my horses for under $ 1000 dollars. Don't pay more than $1500. Generally, the more expensive a horse is, the more SHOW experience a horse has, which you probably won't be.

You really can't stereotype a breed, but Arabians and Thoroughbreds and such tend to be more flighty and "hot-blooded", meaning they'll like to run more and be more difficult to handle. Quarter Horses and other stock breeds like Paints are usually more laid-back and level-headed, at least in my experience.

What to look for in a horse, eh? You certainly DO NOT WANT a green (unexperienced) horse, so go for the age 12-17 group. Horses younger than their teens tend to be very green, unless they've been trained and ridden far more extensively than a normal rider has time for (around 20 hours a week, in all environments).

You want a horse that has been animal-proofed, if you're going to be riding him in any sort of environment outside of trail-rides. This means cows, dogs, cats, pigs, the works. If a horse isn't used to animals it'll be seeing when you're riding it, it'll freak out. If you can, when you're thinking about buying the horse, get your horse-experienced friend to mount the horse and take it near all those animals I mentioned.

Traffic-proofing is another thing you want to already have happened to the horse. It is NOT good to be riding a horse that you previously had thought was wonderful down a road and then realize that he's never seen an 18-wheeler with a noisy muffler before.

When looking at a potential horse, look at its withers. They don't need to be too high OR too low. Both of these could cause potential problems with your saddle fitting, more so with Western saddles than English. A good wither is about three or four inches high, and it goes seamlessly into the horse's neck.

It also DOES NOT need to be "built down". Being "built down" means that when standing on level ground, a horse's hindquarters are higher than its withers. The hindquarters need to be level with or slightly higher than the back of the horse, but they ALWAYS should be lower than the withers.

You should go with a gelding. Mares get PMS and stallions are like teenage boys -all the time-.

Color, just like in people, really doesn't matter. If you have a preference for one color or the other, that's okay, but a horse's coat doesn't determine its worth, unless you're planning to show.

Ride Western. English is much more difficult to learn how to ride safely, so it's not for new riders like yourself, and it provides very little stability or safety to the rider. Remember, cowboys didn't ride in English saddles for a reason- they needed Western saddles for the durability and safety they provided.

Quality is always important when selecting tack. Don't get a synthetic saddle. They look tacky and they don't last as long, and whoever said water will rot leather saddles is an idiot, because saddle-makers sell veneers and water-proofing creams. Sure, leather saddles are heavier (around 20-30 pounds) and more expensive, but they're also stable and more likely to survive, say, your horse throwing you off and running through the underbrush.

It doesn't matter what brand of saddle you buy, but the bars in a saddle do. Ask your horse-savvy friend about this, because I can't explain it online.

Get a gel pad to go under your regular saddle-pad. It absorbs shock BETTER and it's cheaper than those 'gel built in' pads.

As for pads themselves? Make sure it's a good one. It makes me sick when I see people riding their horses in a pad that's little more than a dishrag. Get wool if you can afford it. If not, get a thick pad (1" or more) that is NOT SOFT. It shouldn't impress much when you push it with your fingers, but it should be flexible. A good pad, like a good saddle, will last for years.

Don't get woven girths. They chafe and cause raw wounds on your horse's stomach. Get a neoprene girth (it feels like plastic but it's softer and spongier).

Bridles are a lot easier to fit. Get one with a full brow-band (a band that goes across their forehead) and a chinstrap (not the curb-chain, it's the strap that goes just behind their jaw), because otherwise a horse can rub their bridle off. Get a brass or stainless steel straight bit with a 6" or so shank. This provides more control. If you were a boy, I'd tell you to get a broken-bit, because they tend to bloody horses' mouths with straight bits, but you're a girl and thus much more gentle, so I won't bother.

To convince your dad?.. Well, if you're going to be graduating next year and moving out, do you NEED his permission? If you're not going to be moving out, I can always assume that you don't live on a farm. Thus, if you're living with him as an adult, you don't need his permission to buy an board a horse on your own.

When looking for a good boarding stable, choose a SMALL one. In fact, when I have to board my horses, I go with a stable that isn't an actual stable because I don't like the idea of others handling (and possibly abusing!) my horses. A not-actual-stable is a fenced-in pasture where people pay the owner to board their horse there, but there's no official groom or anything like this. I tend to find places like this with old men who own hundreds of acres but don't want to sell. In fact, I board 7 of my horses for $40 a month on a lush 200 acre pasture by themselves. Whenever you see horses in a large pasture and there's plenty of grass to go around for more horses, go to the person who owns it and ask if they're willing to board a horse.

If you DO need your parents' permission even if you're an adult, then just remind them that you ARE just that- an adult. If you can hold down college/a job and drive a car, you're responsible enough to have a horse, and as always, nagging works. Just keep asking and begging day in and day out.

I remember when I was a kid, my horses kept me fit and away from drugs/gangs. Riding a horse, you burn an average of 400 calories an hour, and even more when you're bareback. That's more than how many calories you burn when you run! Also, a lack of exercise is a reason so many of America's youths are malajusted and discontent. They have no outlet for their psychological energy.

Remember, like the USMC says, "Pain is just weakness leaving the body!".
